Our story is set in 1880s America and follows our protagonist Won, a 2nd generation Chinese immigrant. He’s an outcast in society, and things are only made worse by the strange markings on his arm that give him the power to distort any object he touches. Things are further complicated when he has a strange encounter with a schoolmate named Avery who... lacks boundaries. Avery, branded with the same cursed markings, shows Won that they are more useful than just another thing to hide.
